Hewad Market is a family-owned grocery store that opened in 2020 to serve a growing community that lacks access to familiar or halal foods. In a diverse neighborhood filled with Afghan, Arab, Indian, Bengali, Pakistani, Turkish, Balkan and other Asian families, we saw a real need - and we answered it. We offer a wide range of quality food products from fresh halal meat and rare sweets to groceries, soaps and household items. We always focus on hygiene, authenticity and fair pricing. Although we are not the largest store, we pride ourselves on offering trusted brands and unique products that bring a taste of home closer to you.
Our story
Hewad Market was founded in 2025 as a family business with a clear mission: to bring quality, halal-certified, and culturally relevant groceries to a neighborhood where they didn’t exist. As members of the community, we knew how difficult it was for many families to find the ingredients and products they grew up with. Hewad Market was created to change that.
Since day one, our goal has been to offer more than just groceries - we want to offer convenience, connection and ease. We offer everything from aromatic spices and fresh vegetables to halal meat, frozen foods and unique sweets and drinks that you won't easily find anywhere else. We also carry groceries like soaps and cleaning supplies, making us a reliable one-stop shop for your entire weekly shopping.
